US State Secretary Criticizes Beijing For Stealing Research And Intellectual Property

The Unites States Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo accuses China for targeting Chinese students in the USA and threatening their families to release information on democratic activists and dissidents.

Last Wednesday, ahead of two senate runoff elections in the state, Mike Pompeo, US secretary of state slammed China for stealing property from Chinese students studying in American colleges.

During a speech at Georgia Tech University in Atlanta, Pompeo quoted China’s Communist Party as the “Central threat of our time”, whilst highlighting the effort made by Chinese secret services and pressurizing students who recruit Chinese academics and students as spies.

The Secretary states that the Chinese students studying in American universities are secretly obtaining information from the US to send in to Chinese services.

China continues to be both the largest potential market and the principal military and economic treat in the region. Political leaders are chiding China for not complying with the international; trade rules and called Beijing a principle military and economic threat to the Asian and American region.

China and USA have been head to head since former President Donald Trump took over may issued with China related to trade, Indo-Pacific, Corona virus and treatment of Uyghu Muslims. The tensions between the two countries have escalated in recent times.

America and China are currently facing tensions between both the countries and USA believes that China is the greatest threat to America, its democracy and freedom worldwide since WWII.
