A major roadblock, prefixing of 0 or +91 for STD calls, to implementing full mobile number portability (MNP) across the country has been removed. Several telecom operators have simplified the process of dialling STD, mobile numbers in the country. Until now, calling mobile numbers registered and situated outside one's home network would require adding '0' or '+91' as a prefix. Now that is being removed, which will help in full mobile number portability.

Customers can now call any mobile number in the country without adding any prefix. Full MNP allows subscribers to change their telecom operator without changing their mobile number, anywhere in the country. It will now allow you to move from Delhi to Bangalore and port your mobile number from a Delhi-based operator to one based in Bangalore.

This mobile number portability is very much helpful for the people who gets transferred from one place to another. Now they can keep the same number wherever they are transferred. This will help them to maintain the connectivity with the people with ease. There is no need to inform the new number whenever they get transferred to another circle.
