Star couple Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan got married in June this year in a restricted affair in the presence of close family members, relatives and friends. The duo surprised the world after they announced that they are proud parents of twin boys. The couple also shared the pictures with their kids and they went viral in no time. Apart from the congratulatory messages, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan also landed in trouble. The Tamil Nadu government staged an investigation if the couple is eligible to take up kids within four months of their marriage. Tamil Nadu Health Minister M Subramanian announced that an inquiry will take place very soon. Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan has now submitted an affidavit to the government of Tamil Nadu.

The report said that Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan got their wedding registered six years ago. The marriage documents are attached in the affidavit. Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan also revealed that the surrogate mother is a close relative of Nayanthara and she is a resident of UAE. The state government of Tamil Nadu also approached the hospital in Chennai where the twins were born. As per the Surrogacy Act of India of 2021, any couple who are married for five years can opt out for surrogacy. Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan have taken all the legalities into consideration before they decided to go with surrogacy. Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan got married in Mahabalipuram on June 9th this year and they are busy with their respective projects.
