Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Union Finance Ministry extended the deadlines for the compliance of the Income Tax. The taxpayers are facing several issues in filing the response to the received notices. There are several reliefs announced. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) announced further relaxation for the electronic filing of forms 15CA and 15CB. The deadline is extended till July 15th, 2021. All the taxpayers can upload 15CA along with the Chartered Accountant Certificate in Form 15CB on the e-filing portal. A copy of the authorized dealer needs to be submitted for any foreign remittance.
For all those who are facing issues in submitting 15CA and 15CB online, they can also be submitted in manual format but the deadline is till June 30th, 2021. The Statement of Deduction of Tax for the last quarter of the Financial Year 2020-21 has been extended till July 15th, 2021. The deadline for Form No.16 which should be furnished to the employee has been extended till July 31st, 2021. Form No. 64D which is the Statement of Income paid or credited for the previous year 2020-21 can be furnished before July 15th, 2021. Form No. 64C for the previous year 2020-21 can be submitted on or before July 31st, 2021. The Quarterly Statement in Form No. 15CC should be submitted by July 31st, 2021.
The Equalisation Levy Statement in Form No. 1 for 2020-21 has been extended till July 31st, 2021. The annual statement Form No 3CEK for 2020-21 has to be furnished before July 31st, 2021.
