Cultural fusion to be seen in Sardaar Gabbar Singh!

Power star Pawan Kalyan is well known in Telugu speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. But his love for the nation is so vast that he does not confine to South India. Pawan says that he is exposed to diverse cultures since he grew up in Andhra that is surrounded by Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. The 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' (SGS) star respects diverse culture.

Pawan explains, "Ratanpur, where this film is based, does exist. Before I entered films, I had been there. At that time, it was a part of Madhya Pradesh and not Chattisgarh as it is now. I fell in love with it and over the years it has stayed in my memory. I just like the cultural fusion that it offers."

One thought stayed with him while writing the film, says Pawan. "What would happen if a boy from one of these places falls for a girl from one of the neighbouring areas? This got me thinking."

He also included a town with strong cultural heritage in the film, unlike a city with urban influence. And this made him chose Ratanpur as the right place to base Sardaar Gabbar Singh. And thus, Pawan selected India's heartland with strong Northern influence as base for Sardaar Gabbar Singh.
