The Maharashtra government is running in crisis after 40 MLAs turned rebels and moved out. The Governor asked the government to face the floor test tomorrow in the House. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray chaired a cabinet meeting ahead of the floor test. He asked the rebels to return back. The rebels who were in Assam are now flying to Goa ahead of the no-trust vote. The Governor has sent a letter to the Secretary of the Maharashtra legislative assembly and asked for a special session tomorrow. BJP leader and former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis met the Governor yesterday and he asked for a floor test.

Uddhav Thackeray also approached the Supreme Court to claim the request by the Governor as illegal as 16 MLAs who turned rebels are yet to respond about the disqualification. The Supreme Court will hear the matter this evening and Shiv Sena is expected a positive response from the top court. EKnath Shinde claims that he has the majority of 40 MLAs and this is enough for the Maha Vikas Aghadi to be disqualified. The alliance comprises of Shiv Sena, Congress and Nationalist Congress Party. With the floor test tomorrow, there were talks that the rebel MLAs will return back to Mumbai but they packed their suitcases and are on their way to Goa. They booked a special chartered SpiceJet flight.
