Second wave surges across the world because of Coronavirus variants

The second wave of coronavirus is all over even before the world recovered completely from the first wave. Some of the European countries along with USA are the most impacted countries. The latest one to join the list in India. The hospitals in some of the European countries like Turkey and Poland are already full. Pakistan imposed several travel restrictions. New Zealand already banned flights and visitors from India. Thailand which recovered soon is struggling because of the second wave of coronavirus. The massive vaccination drive started and a percentage of the population is vaccinated but the spread of the new variant is making the world sleepless. The number of new cases along with the deaths are increasing at a rapid pace.

The World Health Organization told that they are quite concerned as the spread is huge and the cases are rising. Several countries are against lockdown as there would be severe financial crisis in these countries as they are already shattered because of the first wave of coronavirus. “We’ve seen rises (in cases) worldwide for six weeks. And now, sadly, we are seeing rises in deaths for the last three weeks," Dr. Margaret Harris, a spokeswoman of WHO told in a media briefing. The number of new coronavirus cases rose for the sixth consecutive week and 4 million new cases are reported across the globe. The new deaths increased by 11 percent when compared to the previous week. Turkey is one of the worst hit countries of the globe as there are hundreds of new British variant cases reported in the country. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan imposed new restrictions in March. Weekend lockdowns are now imposed.

Even in countries like India, the situations are out of control and the daily cases reported are more than 1.35 lakhs.
