The creators of Toxic have delayed the film's premiere, stating that the movie featuring Yash will now be shown in theaters on June 4, instead of March 19. The team mentioned the ongoing conflict in the Middle East as the reason behind this change, explaining that it complicates the film's ability to reach a larger global audience. Yash posted an official message on X confirming the updated release date. He wrote in his post, "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups will be in theaters worldwide on June 4, 2026. " The message included, "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is a film we envisioned to create cinema for a worldwide audience. Made in both Kannada and English, it aims to resonate with viewers at home and around the globe. After years of hard work, we were thrilled to present our film to everyone on March 19." Clarifying the reason for the postponement, the Toxic team said, "However, the current instability, particularly in the Middle East, has led to a situation that affects our ambition to connect with as many people as possible. Therefore, out of respect for our partners and our audience, we have made the tough but carefully thought-out choice to change our release date. "

They finished by saying, "We appreciate your understanding and patience and look forward to your ongoing support. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups will now be available in theaters around the world in English and Indian languages on June 4, 2026. We hope to see you at the movies. " Fans were excited for the box office competition between Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2 and Yash's Toxic on March 19. With Toxic now postponed, Dhurandhar 2 will be the only significant release on that date. Since Toxic is coming out on June 4, and Varun Dhawan's Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is set for June 5, a direct competition at the box office now seems unavoidable. This might pose challenges for Varun Dhawan, as Toxic's grand scale and national appeal could affect theater availability and screening times. The key question remains whether the creators of Hai Jawaani Toh Isha Hona Hai will keep the scheduled date or reconsider their plan to avoid the matchup.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The movie, filmed in both Kannada and English, will also be available in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film boasts a talented cast including Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth, along with Kannada superstar Yash.
