The Oppo Reno 16 series is set to be launched shortly. Oppo has shared on the Chinese social media site Weibo that people can now reserve the new Reno series in China. Although the announcement only mentions the Oppo Reno 16 series, the details on their website show that the Oppo Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 versions will be released soon, following the Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 models. The previous Reno phones were unveiled in China last November. It seems the Oppo Reno 16 series will include MediaTek Dimensity processors and a camera with 200 megapixels. According to a post on Weibo, the Oppo Reno 16 family will be launched in China later this month. The specific date has not been disclosed, but the Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 can already be pre-ordered in China through the Oppo website, Tmall, JD.com, Douyin, and Pinduoduo. Customers who pre-order the Reno 16 series will receive perks worth CNY 278 for only CNY 1.

Oppo has not yet shared details on whether the Reno 16 series will be released outside of China, but recent information hints that it might be available worldwide between July and August this year. To give some context, the Reno 15 series was launched in China in November, then became available globally in December, and was introduced in India in January 2026. Some rumors have indicated that the Oppo Reno 16 will feature a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It might operate using a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset. Meanwhile, the Reno 16 Pro is expected to come with a bigger 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display that also has a 120Hz refresh rate and a Dimensity 9500s chipset. There are also indications that it will include a large 7,000mAh battery, support for 80W fast charging, and wireless charging capability. Both models are anticipated to come with a 200-megapixel primary rear camera featuring OIS. Other features of the Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 are likely to be improvements over the previous Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 models. The Oppo Reno 15 Pro debuted at a price of Rs. 67,999 for the variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the Oppo Reno 15 is priced at Rs. 45,999 for the entry-level model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
